Stacy, yes, I’ve heard the same thing and I am 99.964452890% sure it is true and that the trip was successful. I don’t know the gender of the person though. 🙂

They also drove a Mercedes SL190 across the bridge. It belonged to our neighbor who lived in a MCS house.

The story I was told is that it was the wife of the MCS Superintendent, who wanted to go to Kanab without driving all the way around through Jacob Lake. I was told that she made it just a few feet because the walkway was only 4 feet wide, and her fenders got hung up. Supposedly several big construction workers lifted it and got it back off the footbridge.
